You're all booked! What next?
I am so excited to get to know you both! Every one of these sessions is unique, just like the people who book them. My aim is to capture images which feel like your relationship. On the day, we'll get out there and enjoy lots of fun and sweetness! In order to ensure we make the most of your time, which is so precious and limited, take a look at the information below.
Where will we meet? I use all natural light and love to shoot outside. There are lots of locations I can recommend, but if you have somewhere particularly special in mind let me know and I'll take a look at its suitability. We'll choose a location together via email around two weeks before the date, based on your preferences and personality.
When will we meet? The majority of my sessions take place in the two hours before the sun goes down, as this is when we have the most flattering and beautiful light. We'll finalise a time together via email two weeks before your shoot.
What will our session look like? When you arrive, we'll take some time to say hello and get to know each other a little. I will have planned out some specific spots within our location to work our way around. It's my job to guide you and make you feel completely relaxed, yourselves and beautiful (warning, that does mean you'll have to get close and personal with your partner!) Don't worry about how to stand or what to do with your arms, I will walk you through everything; all you have to do is be you! I'm ready to capture guided and candid moments of fun, connection and love between you and your partner.
How long will our session be? These sessions typically last around an hour. I act as photographer and director moving us between spots at our location. This time flies past!
What should we wear? I always say that the more comfortable you are in what you're wearing, the more natural your images will be. Wear something that makes you feel confident and something that you can move around in. As a couple, it's best if you aim to coordinate but not match. Have a think about colours that complement each other, instead of wearing identical outfits for example! Avoid wearing anything with very bright colours, branding decals or busy patterns as they don’t photograph well. Darker ‘jewel’ colours, such as maroon red, gold, or sapphire blue, always look great. Take our location into account when you choose your outfit; a lot of my locations aren't suitable for high heels! If you're still unsure, I'm happy to chat with you further about your wardrobe choices.
Can I bring along props? I generally avoid props as they can be distracting and take away from the genuine, relaxed atmosphere. However, if there's a particular item you'd really like to be featured then get in touch and we'll have a chat about it.
How do I see my photos afterwards? Within four weeks of your shoot date, I will send you a link to your online gallery. Your session fee includes at least 35 full resolution digital images. All digital downloads are yours to share, print and keep forever. This gallery will be live for viewing, downloading and orders for 4 weeks.
Do you offer any further services? I know how time consuming finding a good printer and getting round to printing your images can be. Because of this, I offer a selection of services to you, including printing, framing, canvases and photo books at competitive prices - all available through your gallery. Due to limitations with printing inks and medias, I can only guarantee colours and appearance when you print through me. Images need to be edited differently for different media, so I edit images either for screen, canvas or printing.
You can share your gallery with friends and family, for them to view and order from, if you choose. All orders are delivered to your address to keep prices affordable.
Can I bring our pet dog or any other people along? These shoots are all about you and your relationship, but if that includes your dog, you're welcome to bring them along!
One last thing...
Please arrive and be ready to start on time. Remember, your session is scheduled according to light and, unfortunately, the sun will not wait for us. Please take traffic and parking into consideration in your planning. If in doubt, it's best to arrive early!
